Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest, formerly Taltree is a dog-friendly oak preserve of formal gardens, woodlands, wetlands, and prairies that offers a variety of events, classes and exhibits year-round.

Gabis Arboretum Railway Garden

Featuring dwarf plants and model steam engine trains, the exhibit showcases the impact steam engine trains had on early 19th century US railroads. Check the website for special events.
Public Goat Walk

Join the goats on their daily walk and see first hand what it's like to lease them and take them out on the trails. Public goat walks will be every Wednesday at 5 pm and Saturdays at 10 am. Meet at the goat shed and be prepared for some fun. The goats do not like the rain so if it's raining, plan on the walks to be canceled.
Father's Day at the Arboretum

Treat your Dad to a day out at the arboretum! Enjoy food trucks, lawn games, hiking, trains, and fishing. Bring your own fishing gear for catch-and-release fishing at the North Pond. All activities are included with admission. Dad's are free. No registration required.

Mr. Blotto was born in Chicago as an off-night vehicle for musicians who loved each other's playing but were in different bands at the time. The only rule was that they would only play what they absolutely loved to play. That at philosophy continues to this day and has led Mr. Blotto into unique musical situations. Mr. Blotto takes the Jam band aesthetic into areas unfamiliar to the standard Jam Scene. They have been known to cover entire albums by Led Zeppelin and The Who as well as perform entire shows of Country and Reggae.

The Kinsey brothers, have enjoyed enormous success throughout the 80s and 90s recording, and touring first with their late father, Lester Big Daddy Kinsey, as Big Daddy Kinsey and The Kinsey Report, and then on their own. The Kinseys arrived on the blues scene in 1985 with a winning formula, joining forces with their father to create a signature sound that mixed the traditional with the contemporary. Big Daddys rich baritone vocals, slide guitar and harmonica playing reflected his Mississippi Delta roots, while the younger Kinseys added reggae, rock, gospel, and soul to the mix. Driven by Donalds soulful vocals and impassioned guitar playing, and the tight, in-sync rhythm section of Ralph and Kenneth, The Kinsey Report created a singular sound that caught the attention of blues fans worldwide.
