Beach Wedding Information

The beautiful beaches of the Indiana Dunes make the perfect backdrop for your special day. Choose the Indiana Dunes State Park beach or one of the Indiana Dunes National Park beaches. Just remember that the beaches are public and can be crowded in the summer.

Indiana Dunes National Park

The beaches and inland properties of the Indiana Dunes National Park, including West Beach, Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk, and Kemil Beach are lovely spots for weddings, but receptions are not permitted. You will need a special use permit for your event, but this permit does not give you exclusive use of the site or parking. Check out the FAQs to learn more.

Indiana Dunes State Park

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, ceremonies are only allowed after 6:30 pm. Entrance fees still apply to your guests, although arrangements can be made to pay all entrance fees for your guest list.

Arrangements need to be pre-approved by the property manager at least two weeks in advance and only for the current calendar year. Simple decorations are allowed, but must be removed immediately after the ceremony.
